Overview
We are currently recruiting an experienced 5 axis CNC Miller for our client based in Salisbury. They work in industries such as Aerospace, Oil and Gas, Marine and more. As a CNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator, you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating 5 and 3+2 axis Matsuura milling machines using Fanuc controls. You must have experience using CAD/CAM software, with Edgecam experience preferred.

Responsibilities

1. Program, set up, and operate 5 and 3+2 axis Matsuura milling machines with Fanuc controls.
2. Utilise CAD/CAM software (Edgecam) to create and modify machining programs.
3. Select and set up tooling, work and tool offsets, and fixture offsets.
4. Conduct in-process inspection and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and accuracy of machined parts.
5. Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
6. Collaborate with team members to optimize machining processes and improve productivity.

Qualifications

1. Proficiency in programming, setting, and operating 5 and 3+2 axis Matsuura milling machines with Fanuc controls.
2. Experience using CAD/CAM software, with Edgecam experience preferred.
3. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.
4. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
5. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Day-to-day

1. Program and set up Matsuura milling machines for production runs.
2. Operate machines to produce precision components.
3. Collaborate with engineers and quality control personnel to ensure compliance with specifications.
4. Troubleshoot and address any issues that arise during machining processes.

Package

1. Competitive salary - Hourly rate ranges from £20 to £30 per hour.
2. Core hours are 7.30 - 4.30 Monday to Friday, but more than flexible with choosing hours.
3. Flexible if a candidate needs child care.
4. Overtime available at all times every day and a Friday afternoon.
