Job Summary:

The post holder is to ensure the premises and grounds are maintained to a high standard and provide the residents with a safe, comfortable and pleasant environment in which to live. Maintain all records in accordance with company policies, procedures and guidelines.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintaining the building and equipment
2. Monitor and respond to the fire alarm call, boilers and lift
3. Make effective and efficient use of resources in any maintenance or repair
4. Report and record all relevant information
5. Conduct banking and purchase of small items for the home
6. Maintain the building, grounds and equipment to ensure the safety of residents, staff and visitors
7. Maintain good communication and relationships with other teams and colleagues
8. Maintain awareness of the Home's policies and procedures, especially the Fire Policy
9. Participate in Training and Development as an individual and as a part of the team
10. Get involved in the induction of new staff by training them on the building layout and fire policies and procedures
11. Maintain client and business confidentiality at all times
12. Control and order stock and accept and check deliveries
13. Maintain an awareness of Health and Safety requirements
14. Observe and maintain high levels of communication within the teams of staff, individual colleagues and residents
15. Carry out any additional duties as requested
16. Undertake any additional training and development programmes the Home may consider appropriate to enhance your contribution to the work
17. Review on a regular basis the job description for your post and agree any changes
