Assistant Management Accountant | Sheffield

Your new company
A leading manufacturing business in Sheffield is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant.

Your new role
You will support the Finance and Managing Directors with all aspects of the accounting function, with tasks ranging from invoicing through to accruals, trial balance, and balance sheet. In addition, you will assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and producing KPI reports and analysis.

1. Preparing monthly accruals, prepayments, bad debts, and rebates
2. Preparing financial statements and annual budgets
3. Ensuring spending aligns with budgets
4. Managing fixed asset postings and conducting monthly analysis against budget
5. Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
6. Analysing the company's financial performance and making long-term forecasts

What you'll need to succeed
You will need proficiency in accounting software and systems such as Sage, QuickBooks, and Xero. You will possess advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to perform complex data analysis and create detailed financial models. Additionally, a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards is essential.

1. Part Qualified with ACCA or CIMA
2. Proficient in Maths and Financial Systems
3. Experience in a similar Assistant Management Accountant role
