Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Support Worker located in Sheffield. The Support Worker will be responsible for providing care and support to individuals with diverse needs, including those with autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, and complex care needs. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with daily activities, implementing care plans, ensuring the safety and well-being of service users, and promoting their independence. The Support Worker will also be expected to document care provided and communicate effectively with the care team and service users.

Qualifications

• Experience as Support Workers with a strong understanding of caregiving principles
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills needed to interact effectively with service users and team members
• Knowledge of safeguarding practices to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals
• Technical support skills for documenting care and using healthcare technology
• Compassionate and empathetic nature
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to handle challenging behaviors positively and constructively
• Relevant certifications or training in caregiving or support work is preferred
