The Sister/Charge Nurse will by example and facilitation guide, assist and empower nursing staff in fulfilling their professional role using research-based practice.
Identify strengths and weaknesses of individual clinical practitioners and liaise with Senior Sister/Charge Nurse to construct an appropriate development programme.
Support the Senior Sister / Charge Nurse in the day-to-day management of the ward.
AMU is a 40 bedded unit with a 4 bedded Acute Care Bay. The unit’s role is pivotal in the management of medical admissions to the Trust, and works closely with the Emergency Department and in-patients areas.
The Acute Medical Unit is actively committed to looking at ways to improve the patient experience, ensuring we create an environment where patients feel safe, cared for and confident in treatment they receive and strive to be the best provider in our class.
We are searching for dynamic, highly motivated and passionate individuals committed to supporting colleagues to provide high quality patient care within Assessment Unit. The post holder will be responsible for supporting the co-ordination of the unit, whilst leading and developing a skilled workforce to deliver high quality patient centered care.
