Here's what to expect from your role as a trainee recruitment consultant:

  • Time on the phone: You’ll spend a significant amount of time on the phone to build relationships, win new business (jobs), and identify candidates that fit those roles.
  • Mastering LinkedIn: LinkedIn is a key platform for any recruiter, you’ll grow your network, build your personal brand, and be consistently outreaching to clients and candidates to build your pipeline.
  • Managing the full recruitment lifecycle: You'll be sourcing candidates, guiding them through the interview process and supporting them as they start the new role. You'll also learn to handle client communication, manage expectations, and ensure a smooth hiring process for client and candidate.
  • Highly organised: You’ll be writing job adverts, scheduling and coordinating the interview process, and have to keep your application tracking system updated accurately – because the devil’s in the detail.

What are we looking for?

  • Ideally 6 months of sales experience (the industry isn’t important, we’re keen to hear about your transferable skills).
  • Motivation and drive. Recruitment is ideal for people that set high goals and work hard to achieve them.
  • Outstanding communication skills (think clear, confident, and friendly).
  • Can juggle multiple tasks at once and keep your cool (because recruitment can get fast-paced!).
  • Team player who brings a positive mindset wherever you go.
  • Willingness to learn. We’re all about raw talent and offer training and support to help you become a recruitment rockstar.
  • Practical judgment. You’ll demonstrate sound decision-making skills and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
