The Compliance Monitoring and Testing (“CMT”) Team is responsible for the planning and execution of testing and monitoring activities to assess whether the processes and controls supporting the compliance framework are effective. The CMT Manager will support the CMT Senior Manager in the development, management, execution, and improvement of the CMT Program.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

• Design, implement, and enhance enterprise-wide CMT Program methodologies and governance documents.
• Develop a risk-based annual CMT plan in collaboration with Compliance staff.
• Create periodic reporting for the annual CMT plan progress and status of remediation plans.
• Perform and manage assigned CMT activities in planning, execution, reporting, and issue remediation.
• Prepare reports on results of CMT activities and work with stakeholders in root cause analysis.
• Maintain documentation in a central repository.
• Track and validate implementation of remediation plans.
• Participate in training regarding the CMT Program.
• Stay current on regulatory developments impacting Coinbase products.
• Conduct other duties as assigned.
• Manage a team.

• Advanced experience executing CMT program and testing plans across financial services/products.
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, and risk management practices for financial services.
• Track record of delivering work outcomes to budget and quality standards.
• Hands-on experience in developing metrics and reporting.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Highly motivated, analytical, organized, and adaptive.
• Good presentation skills and ability to multitask.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with global partners.
• Flexibility to work extended hours when necessary.
• Ability to work with limited direction from management.
• Experience in data extraction and analysis tools (SQL, Tableau, SAS, Snowflake).
• Proficient in PowerPoint/Google Slides and Excel/Google Sheets.
• A BA/BS degree in business, finance, or related fields.

Nice to haves:

• Experience in monitoring and testing third-party vendors.
• Interest in cryptocurrency.
• Experience with multiple AML systems and programs.
• Exposure to financial services regulators.
• Professional certifications (CRCM, CAMS, CIA, CISA, CICA).
• Experience managing large teams.
