Job description

New urgent role working with a major UK residential developer as a Site Manager to oversee external roofing packages on a new build residential development.

Applicants must have experience working on volume build RC frame residential developments and ideally come from a carpentry trade background.

This role will interview/start asap.

Duties:

1. Leading the roofing package execution, ensuring a smooth and efficient construction process.
2. Managing budgets, schedules, and resources, delivering on time and within budget while maintaining high quality.
3. Overseeing roofing contractors, fostering strong relationships and ensuring adherence to specifications and quality control.
4. Ensuring strict adherence to building regulations and safety procedures, creating a safe work environment.
5. Proactively managing risks, implementing solutions to minimise delays and ensure project success.
6. Reporting project progress and key decisions, ensuring transparency.

Requirements:

1. Extensive experience as a Site Manager on new-build residential projects, particularly with roofing packages.
2. CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid tickets.
3. Strong understanding of construction processes, technical specifications, and building regulations relevant to roofing.
4. A strong background in carpentry, ideally with experience in roof construction.
5. Proven leadership and team motivation skills.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Strong organisational and time management skills.
8. A commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
