About the Role

The Apprenticeship Recruitment Officer at Leeds City College plays a crucial role in empowering individuals to embark on fulfilling career paths. They provide invaluable support to both businesses and prospective apprentices, guiding learners on a transformative journey. This journey equips individuals with essential employability and interview skills, enabling them to confidently navigate the path to securing an apprenticeship. The Recruitment Officer's dedication extends throughout the entire process, from the initial enquiry and application stage to the commencement of the apprenticeship with the employer, ensuring a seamless and empowering experience for all involved.

What You Will Do

  1. Arrange and coordinate candidate information sessions including parent information sessions where it will increase the supply for all our vacancies.
  2. Deliver effective induction sessions to new apprentices and employers.
  3. Provide candidates with relevant information, advice and guidance on vacancies and general apprenticeship information.
  4. Support candidates with CV/application development and interview techniques.
  5. Create sector specific talent pools from new and existing approved applications.
  6. Ensure that all approved applicants are put forward for the vacancy they have applied for and then for future vacancies if required.
  7. Provide employers with recruitment updates and assist them where required.
  8. Promote vacancies both internally and externally using different methods.

About You

  1. Educated to at least Level 3.
  2. Literacy and Numeracy at Level 2/ GCSE grade A - C or equivalent.
  3. Previous recruitment experience - CV Writing.
  4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop effective relationships with employers, students, parents and carers, develop rapport and empathy and a solution-focused approach.
  5. Good administration skills and the ability to prioritise own workload.
  6. Knowledge and understanding of the local labour market with a focus on stakeholders needs.
  7. Ability to work effectively with computer programmes such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Google platforms.
  8. Work flexibly and across campuses and occasional evenings when necessary.
