Job Summary
They are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in practice accounting, excellent technical skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, supervising junior staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include:

  1. Client Management: Handle a portfolio of clients, providing accounting, taxation, and advisory services.
  2. Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, management accounts, and statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP.
  3. Tax Compliance: Manage corporate and personal tax returns, VAT returns, and liaise with HMRC where necessary.
  4. Audit & Compliance: Assist with audit engagements and ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements.
  5. Supervision & Training: Mentor and review the work of junior accountants, providing guidance and support.
  6. Business Advisory: Offer strategic advice to clients on financial planning, tax efficiency, and business growth.
  7. Process Improvement: Identify areas for efficiency improvements within the firm's accounting processes and client services.
Skills & Experience Required
  1. Fully qualified ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a practice environment.
  2. Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards, tax legislation, and financial reporting.
  3. Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar.
  4. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  5. Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines efficiently.
  6. Experience in supervising and mentoring junior team members.
