A leading, rapidly scaling financial services institution in Glasgow is seeking a highly skilled Test and Environment Manager to join their expanding team. This is a critical role that will directly impact the quality, performance, and stability of systems, as the organization continues to grow and evolve its technological capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and management of test environments for multiple platforms and applications.
• Collaborate with software engineers to define testing strategies, requirements, and best practices.
• Manage test data, test cases, and test scripts for functional, performance, and regression testing.
• Ensure robust integration and end-to-end testing across systems and platforms.
• Drive the implementation of automation frameworks and oversee the execution of automated tests.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in test environments promptly.
• Continuously improve the testing process through feedback and optimization.
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and best practices.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging tools and technologies in the testing domain and apply them when relevant.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Development, QA, and Operations, to drive efficiency and innovation.

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience in a test environment management role, ideally in the financial services or tech industry.
• Strong knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (e.g., Git).
• Knowledge of performance and load testing tools.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across complex systems.
• Leadership capabilities with experience managing teams in a collaborative environment.
• A proactive and results-oriented mindset.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Qualifications:

• ISTQB, ISEB, or other relevant quality assurance certifications are preferred.
• Proven expertise in test environment management and test automation practices.

Reporting Line:

• You will report to the Head of Engineering, and work in close collaboration with various technical teams across the organization.
