Application Support Specialist – Keep Our Tech Running Smoothly!

Are you a problem-solver with a passion for technology? At Elior UK, we’re looking for an Application Support Specialist to provide third-level support for our business applications.

In this role, you’ll work closely with IT service teams and third-party partners to resolve major outages and ensure system reliability. You’ll also collaborate with our UK Development Team and Elior Group IT to support shared infrastructure, services, and applications.

What you'll be doing:
  • Act as a trusted advisor for the UK IT Technology Team.
  • Administer and monitor Azure App platforms and integrations with Databricks/Datalake.
  • Document and address application issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Serve as the primary UK application contact for Group IT.
  • Provide technical expertise for projects and service teams.
  • Implement and document application and database changes.
  • Support IT Service Desk escalations.
  • Manage and maintain Intune and Mobile Device Management (MDM).
  • Deliver training as needed.
What good looks like?
  • Knowledge and experience with cloud hosting technologies such as Azure or AWS.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 and CRM knowledge.
  • Basic knowledge, understanding and creating SQL queries.
  • Ability to troubleshoot system application and devices.
  • Focus on Results – Ability to work independently but know when to escalate.
  • Problem Solving – A flexible approach and readiness to adapt to change.
  • Awareness of Agile methodologies.
  • Be willing to work outside of core hours when the need arises.
  • Confident and influential with customers and colleagues.
  • Flexible and adaptable in style and approach to reflect different team roles and clients.
  • Experience working with third party providers.
  • Experience of 2nd/3rd line support.
  • Experience in a hospitality or retail environment.
  • Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, PowerAutomate, Power Virtual Agents).
  • Knowledge and understanding of Mobile Device Management systems (MDM).
  • Experience of ITIL or ITIL foundation Qualification.
  • Experience with RPA automation such as Blueprism and/or UIPath.
  • Understanding of the concept of API calls.
  • Knowledge of the SCCM platform.
