Job Title: Pipe Fitter

Salary: £34,650 (£18.01ph)

Location: Wakefield

Hiring Method: Permanent

Metalis are working with an established client in the Wakefield area who are looking to add a Pipefitter to their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be required to travel around the UK and overseas to deliver a large range of pipework installation techniques.

Responsibilities:

1. Experience working with both stainless steel and carbon steel pipework.
2. Spool fabrication using both welding and mechanical forming techniques as well as some pressure testing and flushing.
3. Working to a range of engineering drawings and standards.
4. All candidates would be expected to work both in the workshop and work away on various projects of varying durations; weekend working is required at times both in the workshop and onsite.

The Person:

1. The ability to read and understand hydraulic circuits.
2. Pressure testing and hot oil flushing.
3. Flexible to work away when needed.
4. Apprentice trained.
5. UK Driving licence.

The Details:

1. Base salary of £34,650 (£18.01ph) based on a minimum 37-hour week.
2. 25 Days holiday + Bank Holidays.
3. Monday-Saturday overtime paid at 1.4x hourly rate.
4. Sunday overtime paid at 1.8x hourly rate.
5. Overtime at enhanced rate.
6. Transport when working on site.
