To work towards zero new HIV infections and hepatitis C elimination by 2025, this post will be instrumental in introducing and sustaining HIV and viral hepatitis testing in the Emergency Department at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trusts (UHDB) as well as tracking any positive patients and linking them into the relevant care pathways.
To work in collaboration with Hepatology, Sexual Health and HIV, Emergency Department, Microbiology, Urgent and Emergency Care, and Health Improvement Collaborative teams to implement blood borne virus ( BBV) opt-out testing within the Emergency Department at the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trusts.
