Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Senior SQL & Oracle DBA to join our Managed Service Provider client based in Yorkshire. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering business-as-usual activities for managed service customers while collaborating with senior engineers and technical leads on project and service improvement initiatives.

As part of a small team with a strong work ethic, you will participate in an on-call rota system to ensure the continuity and performance of services. You will work alongside SQL & Oracle DBAs and Windows engineers to support their client base and maintain the underlying service in line with established SLAs and OLAs.

• Ability to work independently and proactively
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure SQL)

Software/Tools:

• SQL Server (2012-2019 and later)
• Oracle Database (11g, 12c and later)
• SQL Profiler, Extended Events, DMVs
• Oracle RMAN
• Oracle PL/SQL, UNIX scripting

Certifications & Standards:

• Relevant certifications in SQL and Oracle database administration (e.g., Microsoft Certified: SQL Database Administrator, Oracle Certified Professional) are advantageous.
• Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for database security and compliance.
