Job description

The Community Lead at Axel Arigato connects brand with emerging cultural talent, acting as the main point of contact for influencers, content creators, brand ambassadors and VIPs – and establishing when/where each will play a role towards our marketing goals and timelines. The role works closely with the marketing/comms, merchandising and social teams - understanding the role that community plays in our brand and marketing eco-system (eg gifting stock quantities / results integration with our digital marketing channels).

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  1. This role strategises talent engagement via seeding and gifting: maximising product and brand exposure, assisting with key internal and external event dressing, helping co-ordinate comms partnerships, and builds our cultural relevance within our community. This role fosters organic and paid relationships, supports brand campaigns, and aligns community efforts with the global communications strategy alongside tracking the roles impact on business success.
  2. Talent & Community Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive 360-degree community strategy, leveraging varying talent tiers to support the Global Communications strategy and Marketing timeline.
  3. Cross-functional Consultation: Collaborate with internal teams including buying / merch / social media / brand / creative / casting / events / ecomm – translating community activity into business results.
  4. Logistical Coordination: Arrange deliveries, send-outs, and gifting in collaboration with the VIP & Communications Coordinator.
  5. Event & Guestlist Management: Strengthen guestlist credibility (paid and organic) at events, ensuring alignment with brand identity.
  6. Brand Partnerships: Work alongside the Brand Manager to determine when paid partnerships are necessary versus organic relationships.
  7. Global Ambassador Program: Work with the Global Communications Manager to launch, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key contacts within the program in new markets.
  8. Strategic Communications: Work closely with the Global Communications Manager to align community placement within the wider global strategy.
  9. Performance Evaluation: Feed key placements across various business sectors such as paid marketing, newsletters, and social for amplification.
  10. Team Development: Support the professional growth of the VIP & Communications Coordinator.
  11. Reporting: Oversee and maintain weekly and monthly recaps for all team projects.
  12. Landscape: Stay apprised of new capabilities that are announced on existing social media platforms as well as new emerging social media platforms that are gaining popularity. Monitor and keep abreast of industry news and trends and report updates to team.

ARE YOU THE ONE?

  • Five years’ experience with an agency or in-house brand.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Fashion Marketing – or adjacent. Alternatives will be considered.
  • As this role examines multiple touchpoints within our talent ecosystem (not just VIP) – an understanding of the intersection between fashion, music, art, and culture.
  • A highly connected individual with a growing global black book of contacts.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, reactive environment, identifying talent and trends before they reach mainstream recognition.
  • Experienced in managing relationships across diverse creative and business sectors.
  • English speaking, with French, Swedish a plus.
