About The Ned

The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work, and have a good time.

The Ned launched in 2017 in the heart of the City, in the former Midland Bank headquarters. The Ned City of London houses Ned’s Club - a private members’ space, gym, and rooftop - alongside a public spa, a full floor of events spaces, ten restaurants and bars, and 250 hotel bedrooms.

Reporting to the Head of Safety and Security you will:
  • Lead and manage the security team, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Ensure the safety of The Ned’s members and guests during various events and high-profile functions.
  • Efficiently deputise and represent The Ned's security team in the absence of Head of Safety and Security.
  • Develop and implement hotel security policies and procedures in compliance with industry and internal standards.
  • Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and emergency response planning.
  • Monitor surveillance systems and ensure the effective use of security technology.
  • Collaborate with hotel management, law enforcement, and emergency services as needed.
  • Investigate security incidents, prepare reports, and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct security awareness training for hotel employees.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security threats, best practices, and industry standards.

What you can bring to the role:
  • Proven experience as a Security Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality sector and/or 5-star hotels.
  • Strong knowledge of security protocols, risk management, and crisis response.
  • Impeccable leadership skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, and develop teams at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to switch between inspiring teams or representing your department to the executive team.
  • Familiarity with security technology, CCTV, and access control systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively.
  • Holding the NEBOSH Certification is preferred for this role.
  • Our security team works all year round; your working hours may be flexible, including nights and weekends.
