Salary: £160,000 - £200,000 + Bonus + Pension

Location: Holiday Extras is based in Kent, and our UK Airparks sites are in Birmingham, Luton and Aberdeen. Easy access to these locations is ideal, as well as an appetite for regular travel to Europe.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Parking Operations Managing Director (MD) for Airparks responsible for building the HX Parking Operations business by creating, developing and delivering the strategy for growth. Reporting to the Group CEO, this role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, driving yield and pricing strategies, expanding our footprint, and navigating opportunities and challenges in property and planning.

The MD can only achieve this by engaging, mobilising, developing and leading the team, as well as working effectively with subject matter experts, and simplifying complex information to drive impactful action.

By Joining Us You Will

  • Lead strategic growth by developing and executing a five-year strategic plan, expanding market presence through acquisitions, new markets, and M&A opportunities.
  • Lead major expansion projects, including Airparks Vegas and European growth, securing funding with senior leadership.
  • Oversee operations across multiple sites, ensuring seamless performance, high NPS scores, and strong customer retention.
  • Drive efficiency and innovation, implementing digital check-in enhancements, yield optimisation, and AI-driven decision-making.
  • Manage financial performance, owning P&L, controlling costs, and securing profitable long-term contracts.
  • Develop additional revenue streams, including EV charging and premium services, to enhance profitability.
  • Build and lead high-performing teams, fostering leadership, collaboration, and a culture of innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Transport, and Planning regulations while maintaining industry best practices.
What You Can Bring
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role, ideally within property, hospitality, aviation, or service industries, managing a business P&L.
  • Strong customer empathy, with an understanding of customer needs and expectations.
  • Technical understanding of operations, with excitement about future innovations such as electric and autonomous vehicles.
  • Robust legal experience in delivering complex commercial and real estate projects, along with managing expert legal advisors.
  • Ability to work with data and numbers, with a focus on optimising pricing and yield.
  • Willingness to challenge existing processes and explore innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complexity and getting to the core of issues.
  • Experience of managing operations and inspiring teams at geographically disparate locations, in multiple markets and legal jurisdictions.
  • Expertise in pricing strategies, revenue growth, and customer loyalty programmes.
