Salary: £90 - £110 per day (Depending on experience)

About the Role:

As a Residential Support Worker, you’ll provide essential care, guidance, and emotional support to students. Your role will include working closely with teaching and pastoral staff to create a safe and nurturing environment. You'll support students with their daily routines, help with homework, and encourage positive relationships.

Key Responsibilities of a Residential Support Worker:

• Provide emotional and physical support to students in their daily routines.
• Foster independence and life skills in a structured environment.
• Help with educational support, including homework and revision.
• Promote a safe, supportive environment following safeguarding policies.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with students.
• Manage behaviour using positive strategies and de-escalation techniques.
• Keep accurate records of student progress and incidents.

Requirements for a Residential Support Worker Role:

• Experience in residential support, education, or care settings.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, NVQ in Health & Social Care).
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Experience working with young people with SEN, SEMH, or challenging behaviours.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Flexible and patient, with the ability to manage challenging situations.
• Valid enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one).
