Front End Developer

Remote (very occasional travelto Birmingham)

Full time

£40,000 - £45,000 annum

The Business

Our client is an established but growing company providing a state-of-the-art technology platform for the sale and administration of insurance products. They are the #1 technology platform for Commercial Lines Insurers, MGA’s & Brokers. A heavily R&D based business that has continually invested in technology and has a cloud-native offering with API first technology on Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities

Their Front-End Developers are responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining user interfaces for their platform and legacy projects. This role involves collaborating with the design and back-end teams to implement front-end solutions using Vue 3, SASS and jQuery. Experience with Knockout.js and Typescript is considered a plus.

• Design and develop user interfaces using Vue 3, TypeScript, and SASS for their platform.
• Maintain and enhance existing front-end codebases using Knockout.js, jQuery.
• Create wireframes and prototypes for new features and projects.
• Collaborate with Back-End Developers and Designers to implement front-end solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in front-end development.
• Successfully deliver high-quality front-end solutions within project timelines.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
• Ensure user interfaces are intuitive, responsive and user-friendly.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of front-end development processes.

Required Key Skills & Experience

• A minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Proven experience as a Front-End Developer or similar role.
• Experience in Vue 3, SASS, and jQuery.
• Experience with Knockout.js and/or Typescript is a plus.
• Good understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong communication skills.
