They are looking for a New Business Development Manager, responsible for establishing, leading and driving new business growth opportunities across their portfolio. You will play a key role in expanding their customer base by generating high-quality leads and converting them into long-term, profitable business revenue. You will excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and possess a strong "hunter" mentality, thriving in a target-driven atmosphere. With a passion for finding and driving new business development and a proven track record of closing deals, this role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Driving the expansion of their product portfolio in the commodity lines sector
- Identifying, generating and qualifying leads through targeted outreach and market research - cold calling capability and confidence is critical to this role
- Converting leads into long-term, profitable client relationships, understanding their needs and presenting tailored solutions
- Leading all aspects of the sales cycle - initial contact to deal closure, with appropriate account management administration tasks
- Developing and maintaining robust pipeline of prospects, ensuring continuous flow of business opportunities
- Collaborating with marketing and design department, ensuring literature is up to date and relevant to target market
- Developing and implementing strategies to increase market share and business revenue
- Collaborating with internal teams, aligning product offerings with client needs and market trends
- Collaborating with Operations, Logistics and Procurement teams, ensuring product availability, timely delivery and quality assurance
- Reporting and forecasting
- Tracking and reporting on business development activities - lead generations, sales performance and market insights via CRM platform
- Creating forecasts and sales reports for management to assess business growth and trends
To be successful in this role, they are looking for:
- Packaging industry knowledge
- Knowledge of distributor model within industry
- Demonstrable success at lead generation and conversion into new business

- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a similar relevant field is desirable
Ideally based within a commutable distance to site in the first instance - You must be prepared for regular travel, including overnight stays, to attend customer meetings
