Account Executive - Fishing Clubs, Syndicates & Fisheries

Location: Remote (UK)
Reports to: Head of Sales UK & I
Salary: from £25K (£55k OTE uncapped)

Clubmate is the go-to fishery management platform trusted by 100,000+ anglers and 2500+ fishery managers, committee members, and bailiffs. We help remove unnecessary paperwork, increase revenue, and give back spare time with our easy-to-use, online platform designed specifically for fishing clubs, syndicates, and fisheries.

We are on an exceptionally fast business growth curve and due to growing demand, we are looking for a talented, hungry, results-oriented Account Executive who shares our passion for the sport of Angling to join our expanding Clubmate team.

About the Role

You will be on the front lines of our sales process responsible for presenting and selling Clubmate software solutions to prospective customers. This will involve actively prospecting, managing, and engaging with a dedicated sales pipeline of interested potential customers and converting them into paying clients. You’ll become a product specialist, deliver online demos, and have a hunger to win new business. To be truly successful in this role, you will need a hunter mentality, seeking out new opportunities through networking, cold calling, and other proactive outbound prospecting activities. Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
  • Prospecting/identifying sales opportunities.
  • Running your own meetings & demos of Clubmate solutions.
  • Own your sales forecast and be accountable for providing accurate business updates internally.
  • Effectively articulate Clubmate’s value proposition; being able to handle objections and answer complex questions.
  • Close new business deals and provide a successful handover to the onboarding team.
  • Keep our CRM system (HubSpot) up to date, ensuring all sales activity is logged and information is accurate.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the industry and competitor landscape.
  • Assisting our Commercial, Product, and Marketing teams to ensure our proposition in the Angling industry is market-leading.
  • Be a Clubmate ambassador within the angling industry.
Requirements

You’ll be a great fit if you are:

  • Goal-oriented: You thrive on hitting quotas and have a proven track record of performance.
  • Interested in developing in sales or growth: you have a minimum of 1 year sales experience and an ongoing desire to develop your skills.
  • A team player: You want to perform exceptionally well individually, whilst working in a fun, positive environment with a close-knit team.
  • Agile: Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup team environment.
  • Passionate: You love all things angling and have a strong desire to see the sport succeed.
  • Relevance: You have either volunteered your time at a fishing club or have some experience in working at a fishery.

PLEASE NOTE – whilst this role is remote based, you should be able to visit our Head Office in Essex on a regular (monthly) basis.
