Job description

My client is currently looking for a HR Assistant to supplement the HR Manager and HR administrator. Due to an increase in total staff count, the HR manager is now looking for someone with a strong passion for people who can support their busy HR department. This position comes with the flexibility of part-time hours and is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to progress their career with first-class mentorship.

What will your daily role entail:

  1. Acting as a point of contact for general HR enquiries and advising your colleagues on a wide range of employee matters.
  2. Support the HR team by updating company policies and paperwork to ensure all practices and data are managed properly.
  3. Helping to create a fluid and engaging workspace by taking part in employee relations such as taking minutes and preparing letters for distribution.
  4. Monitoring and updating KPI files such as absenteeism and retention to help identify patterns of behaviour with senior staff.
  5. Completing new starter documents and ensuring all relevant forms are completed according to company procedure.
  6. Managing the onboarding process including pre-employment checks and reference gathering as well as supporting overall integration into the business.
  7. General administration across a range of HR matters to help maintain strong channels of information sharing in the department.

What are we looking for:

  1. Experience of HR or a similar environment.
  2. Competency with MS and strong IT skills.
  3. Experience with creating reports is desirable but not essential.
