Overview
Element has a superb opportunity for a Statutory Accountant to join our growing Global Business Services team (GBS) in Edinburgh on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Senior Technical Finance Manager, the role is part of the GBS Statutory Reporting team responsible for the preparation and filing of financial statements for the Group's UK legal entities and co-ordination of external audit deliverables.

Skills / Qualifications
• Qualified ICAS, ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant with experience in a relevant finance role
• Financial reporting and finance systems experience gained in a complex group organisation and/or large entity Business Services reporting experience in practice
• Strong FRS101 and FRS102 technical accounting knowledge (particularly IFRS9 and IFRS16) and a robust analytical ability to challenge underlying financial results
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and build relationships with individuals at all levels in the organisation
• Ability to prioritise and work within a fast paced, dynamically changing environment
• Experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365, Navision, Board, Blackline, Workiva, and Lease Harbor desirable (training will be provided)
• Demonstrable knowledge of intercompany and internal group recharge processes
• A well organised, proactive self-starter able to work both autonomously and as part of a team
• Display a positive, can-do attitude and foster a culture of continuous improvement
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ability to manipulate large data sets effectively
• Effective operation of core ERP and Business Intelligence systems
