We have an exciting new opportunity for a skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our friendly team.
North Star Academy Trust is a small multi-academy trust that was set up with the ambition to improve the SEND provision in the South West and provide as many young people as possible with a bespoke, specialist education that is tailored to each individual's needs. We are a small but growing Trust, currently consisting of 4 schools including both Primary and Secondary provisions, and an Alternative Learning Provision.
We are looking for an enthusiastic professional to join our Speech and Language Therapy Team, working across the Trust with children aged 5-16 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
You will work in our schools under the direction of the Lead Speech and Language Therapist, delivering intervention to enable students to develop their speech, language, and communication skills. Your role as a Speech and Language Therapist will be to plan, provide, and further develop an integrated Speech and Language Therapy service to the pupils across our settings.
You will work closely with the Lead Speech and Language Therapist to manage and prioritise caseloads according to the needs of the students. You will receive regular coaching, mentoring, and line management support from the Lead Speech and Language Therapist and work closely with the Speech and Language Therapy Assistants based in our schools.
As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will need to gain knowledge of relevant background information for the students in order to conduct communication assessments and aims for Individual Education Plans.
As you will be working across our schools, a full UK driving license is essential.
You will be working 37 hours per week, 39 weeks a year. This is a 2-year fixed-term role with potential to become permanent. Part-time hours may be considered.
