Our cutting-edge technology ensures that you can always find the best professional for any job. With a talented team of over 200 dedicated individuals, we're committed to providing exceptional service and ensuring that our customers are satisfied every step of the way.

This is an exciting time to join our scaling business, we recently placed in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2024, and previously were64th in the Sunday Times 100 fastest growing private tech companies in 2023.

As a profitable scale-up, Bark is in a unique position to offer the best of both worlds; the excitement and agility of a start up combined with the financial security and backing of a renowned private equity firm, EMK Capital. You'll have ownership, agility, responsibility and stimulation without any of the worry.

About the Role

We’re looking for a talented and driven Senior Product Manager to join our ‘Professional Success’ squad, and help them step-change the experience for service providers on Bark.com.

Bark is at the start of a transformation from a lead generation platform to a full marketplace, looking to do to services what Amazon did for physical products. The Professional squad will be responsible for acquiring and engaging Professionals - getting the right businesses signed up and set up for success. You’ll build products to help them gain visibility on our platform and ensure they’re doing a great job of converting that visibility into business won and value for them. You’ll also be at the heart of monetising this experience, and so commercial experience will serve you well!

You’ll join an existing squad of developers, and collaborate closely with a dedicated designer to build a great understanding of your users and ultimately a vision and roadmap that delivers for Professionals, for Consumers and for Bark. You’ll work alongside peers in Marketing, Analytics, Commercial, Customer Support to ensure success, and help Bark and the business we support realise our shared potential.

We’re already profitable and incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved so far, but we know that most of our work is ahead of us. We have huge aspirations, and our growth plans are product-led, so it’s a great time to join and contribute to revolutionising how people buy and sell services online

Responsibilities

  • Set the vision and strategy for your squad, whilst defining and driving success

  • Define, maintain and evangelise your Product roadmap and backlog

  • Contribute to efficient outcome-centric delivery through clear scoping and diligent discovery and prioritisation

  • Collaborate and communicate progress and prioritisation effectively to stakeholders at all levels around the business

  • Obsess over your end user, and inspire others to do the same. Use qual and quant inputs to understand them better than anyone

  • Take ownership of the impact of your squad - from problem to solution, launch and beyond

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven track record as a Product Manager in a fast-paced and successful online business (marketplaces experience, or experience building Products for small businesses a plus)

  • Excellent communicator - you’re able to clearly present your work, explain your thinking and discuss decisions confidently at all levels

  • Expert in using both qual and quant data points to form user understanding, conclusions, and guide decision making

  • Well-versed in lean approaches and agile methodologies to minimise waste and maximise impact

  • A self-starter that is comfortable working autonomously, whilst always remembering collaboration is key to success

  • Strong commercial and technical understanding, allowing you to clearly articulate concepts to commercial and non-technical audiences, as well as engineering

  • Driven, ambitious and keen to grow with the company

Perks and Benefits

  • Share options in a rapidly growing company whose founders have a proven track record and are Private Equity backed
  • Flexible working policy with a central office in London
  • Private health insurance run by Bupa
  • Personal annual L&D Budgets to spend on your development
  • Enhanced Gympass membership for all employees with access to mental health courses and fitness classes
  • Fully stocked kitchen and monthlylunches
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Regular wellness weeks with industry leading talks through to massages in the office
  • Being at the forefront of an industry with new and exciting problems to solve

Interview Process

  • Screening Call with Talent Partner (30 mins)
  • 1st Stage - Interview with Product Manager (30 mins)
  • 2nd Stage - Technical Task (120 mins)
  • 3rd Stage - Values interview (90 mins)
