What the role involves:

This is a full-time site-based role. My Client is seeking a skilled CNC Turner to set up, operate and maintain CNC Turning machines to produce precision metal parts. The ideal candidate should have experience in CNC Turning operations, blueprint reading, and quality control to ensure parts meet exact specifications.

1. Set up and operate CNC turning machines to produce precision parts.
2. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
3. Program CNC machines using G-code and other relevant software.
4. Select and install appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials.
5. Conduct quality checks using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calibres, and gauges.
6. Adjust machine settings to ensure parts meet required tolerances.
7. Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues to maintain production efficiency.
8. Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
9. Follow company safety guidelines and industry regulations.

Key Skills required

1. Proven experience as a CNC Turner, CNC Machinist, or similar role.
2. Strong understanding of CNC machining, tooling, and materials.
3. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
4. Experience with CNC programming (Fanuc, Siemens, or Mazatrol preferred).
5. Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments.
6. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Strong adherence to workplace safety and quality standards.
9. Full, UK Driver Licence.
