HR Manager Role

The HR Manager role is a fantastic opportunity to oversee the day-to-day operations of the HR department, ensuring that all HR functions, such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance, run smoothly. Working closely with the Head of HR, the HR Manager will also assist with the implementation of key HR strategies to drive organisational success.

This dynamic and challenging position will allow you to immerse yourself in a variety of HR activities, to drive impactful initiatives. You will collaborate with colleagues across departments, fostering a supportive and innovative work environment while gaining valuable experience and making a significant impact within the organisation.

What the role involves
  • Recruitment, Onboarding and Induction: Ensure recruitment, selection, induction and probation requirements are adhered to by managing the processes.
  • Employee Relations: Bridge management and employee relations by advising on workplace issues and supporting investigations on matters such as disciplinary, grievance, performance, and capability.
  • Business Support: Provide coaching and education, supporting business areas on HR related matters and building relationships with employees and key partners.
  • HR Policies and Procedures: Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with employment law.
  • Process Mapping: Create and maintain process maps for all HR processes and support the development of the organisation’s Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Data Management: Prepare monthly MI data and KPI reports and conduct research to drive people insights and decision-making.
  • HRIS Administration: Oversee all facets of the HRIS and proactively address any issues that arise.
  • Learning and Development: Contribute to the design and delivery of effective training programs, and continuously evaluate and improve these programs to ensure they meet business goals and employee development needs.
  • General: Support the Head of HR on key projects and achieving the HR strategy, specifically in relation to wellbeing, engagement and retention.
The qualifications, skills and experience we are looking for
  • At least 2-years’ experience in a Senior HR Advisor, HR Officer, or HR Manager role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR Practices, policies and procedures.
  • CIPD qualification, although this is not essential, hands-on experience is!
  • Experience in L&D is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications and an aptitude for learning new software systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as working well in a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Adept at multi-tasking, organising, and prioritising workload.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information.
