We’re looking for a Senior / Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our passionate and dedicated team at The Portland Hospital. Currently rated “Good” by the CQC.
Internationally renowned for clinical excellence, The Portland Hospital is the only independent hospital in the UK entirely dedicated to women and children. Our inpatient and outpatient specialties reflect this, providing clinical expertise in Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Women`s Health.
The role of this Senior / Specialist Occupational Therapist post will primarily involve the assessment and treatment of your own clinical caseload of Outpatients covering a wide variety of diagnoses including but not restricted to; cerebral palsy, autism, developmental delays, congenital and genetic differences as well as wheelchair and equipment assessments and prescriptions. Outpatients are seen and managed with the larger MDT as we foster a strong MDT ethic in the department. Although this role is predominantly outpatient based, there will be an expectation that the candidate will assist with the management of the inpatient caseload as and when needed. At the Portland we are passionate about service development and this role will include assisting the Clinical Lead and Advanced Occupational Therapists with service development projects.
