An established industry player is seeking an experienced SMT Team Leader to oversee a small team in a high-value electronics manufacturing environment. Our client, based near Guildford, is currently seeking an experienced SMT Team Leader. The business is a world leader in high-value electronic systems and sub-systems. They operate in a variety of industries, and candidates with a background working within space, aerospace, automotive (or other safety-critical sectors) will be at an advantage.
The SMT Team Leader will manage a small SMT team, setting and managing targets while ensuring the highest possible level of quality. You will need to allocate resources, forecast capability requirements for specific projects, and manage the internal maintenance schedule.
In terms of experience, an SMT Team Leader with a background working on pick & place machines (this includes both running and programming) is required, as they currently operate 3x ASM machines. There will be additional machines within the department that require occasional use, such as 3D AOI, X-ray, and Conformal Coating machines.
