What You'll Do (More Than Just Crunch Numbers):

As our Bookkeeper, you'll be the financial backbone of our investee companies – 5-10 dynamic recruitment micro-businesses. You'll be their trusted advisor, ensuring their financial records are impeccable and providing key insights to support their growth.

Here's a glimpse of what awaits you:

• Daily: Dive into the details – bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and transaction categorisation. You'll be the master of keeping the financial ship sailing smoothly.
• Weekly: Connect with our investee owners during check-in calls, participate in team meetings, and ensure compliance is always top-notch.
• Monthly: Deliver accurate and timely monthly management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) by the 5th of the month, prepare and file VAT returns, and process payroll with precision.
• Quarterly: Participate in performance reviews, identify process improvements, and gather feedback from our investee companies.
• Annually: Support the management accountant with year-end accounts and personal tax return preparation.

What You'll Bring to the Table (Besides Your Sharp Mind):

• Attention to Detail: You're meticulous and accurate, ensuring every "i" is dotted and every "t" is crossed.
• Organisational Skills: You're a master of organisation, keeping everything in its place and running like clockwork.
• Communication Skills: You're a clear and concise communicator, able to explain financial information in a way that everyone can understand.
• Technical Proficiency: You're a Xero expert (or proficient in similar accounting software) and comfortable with payroll and VAT processing.
• Experience: You have at least 3 years of experience in a bookkeeping role, ideally supporting multiple clients.
