Job description

Join to apply for the Customer Service Advisor role at South Bay Center for Counseling/Community Development.

We are currently looking for an experienced customer service advisor to join our busy client in Blandford on a full-time permanent basis. This role will also be supporting the office manager, providing holiday cover when required.

Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm

The role of our Customer Service Advisor is critical to the business's success. Customers are predominantly elderly and rely upon the office teams to resolve their queries and take their orders over the phone.

The Right Candidate will:

  • Have experience in a customer service role.
  • Have sales experience, with experience of working in a team environment.
  • Be confident using computers, able to manage and process orders.
  • Be numerate and possess good written English; GCSE Maths & English standard or equivalent at grade C or above.
  • Have a confident telephone manner.
  • Able to pay attention to detail, prioritizing accuracy.
  • Able to work to deadlines.
  • Have a very clear telephone voice and the ability to adapt your style to meet the needs of every customer.
  • Have the ability to communicate and relate to people at all levels.
  • Act as a link for drivers and customers if any problems arise during a delivery round.
  • Be able to learn our in-house computer systems, manage the taking of orders, and database management for current or lapsed customers.
  • Demonstrate a real interest in people and communicate effectively with members of the public and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for taking telephone orders and making outbound calls to existing customers for orders.
  • Upselling products.
  • Ensuring each customer is provided with exemplary service on each telephone call or contact.
  • Confidently promoting additional products to suit customers' needs.
  • Updating customer records and liaising with customer relatives as required.
  • Performing administrative duties.
  • Preparing promotional literature as required and communicating details of new products or promotions to customers.
  • Taking an active interest in the products we sell and promoting the benefits of our healthy and nutritious meals to all our customers.
  • Providing support to the Office Manager.
  • Covering for the Office Manager during holiday cover.
  • Inbound sales.
  • Outbound business calls to support marketing goals.
