Collections & Archive Assistant - Ref: EE14224

G4: £25,183 - £27,269 per annum.

The New Art Gallery Walsall (fixed term contract to March 2028, 18 hours per week, spread over 3 days). Expected working pattern: one day on a Monday, one day in the Art Library Tuesday - Friday, and 1 day by arrangement.

The venue:

The New Art Gallery Walsall is one of the leading visual arts venues in the West Midlands. Situated in the heart of Walsall town centre, the Gallery is a busy and vibrant building with an exciting programme of contemporary art exhibitions and collections displays, lively education and community events, an artist studio, library, café, conference facilities and shop. The Gallery provides a truly unique place for its visitors to experience, learn from, and participate in the visual arts.

The role:

You will assist the Collections Curator in the effective management and development of the Collections, Archives and Art Library at The New Art Gallery Walsall, ensuring effective and accurate documentation to the required museum accreditation standards, assisting with public access and enquiries, and liaising with the Front of House Team on the day-to-day operations of the Art Library.
