Job Description

Turner & Townsend is currently recruiting for Project Managers to join our Life Science Real Estate.

With a market leading client base and the opportunity to take the lead on immediate commissions, this is an exciting time to join the business unit and grow a career with Turner & Townsend.

This role is client facing, working within a professional and ambitious team, where you will receive excellent support. We have brought our brightest minds together to respond to our client’s Project and Programme management objectives.

Responsibilities
  1. Plan and secure resources for the project or programme, using appropriate tools and techniques
  2. Lead and manage the project or programme team and delegate tasks, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities
  3. Identify and manage risks and issues, using effective mitigation and contingency strategies
  4. Ensure the project or programme stays on track and delivers on time and within budget, using relevant project management methodologies and standards
  5. Build, sustain and facilitate relationships with project or programme stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and engagement
  6. Monitor and report on the progress and outcomes of the project or programme, using appropriate metrics and indicators
  7. Evaluate the impact and benefits of the project or programme, using evidence-based methods and tools
Qualifications
  1. Ideally Degree qualified in one of the following fields: Project management or Construction Management
  2. Ideally NEC accredited Project Manager
  3. Member of a chartered institute e.g., RICS or happy to work towards
  4. Good knowledge of construction industry themes such as MMC, Net Zero Carbon and Digital agenda
  5. Good knowledge of project lifecycle and business case approvals process
  6. Ideally experience of working on social care / healthcare project
What experience we are looking for:
  1. Detailed knowledge of and experience in large scale public health and life sciences projects (5 years)
  2. Experience of master planning/strategic estate development and capital project planning for business case compilation is desirable.
  3. Detailed experience of NEC contract administration is desirable
  4. Demonstrable experience in NHS client-facing roles at all levels (including Directors of Estates/Strategy and Planning/Capital Development to Trust stakeholders and service commissioners)
