Sodexo is seeking a Maths Teacher to join the education team at HMP Forest Bank. This role focuses on delivering quality education to residents, supporting their personal development, and helping them achieve key qualifications to aid in their rehabilitation and reduce re-offending.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Teach and motivate hard-to-reach learners, including those with learning difficulties and disabilities (SEND/LDD).
2. Plan, deliver, and evaluate accredited and non-accredited Maths courses.
3. Implement initial assessments and signpost learners to appropriate activities based on results.
4. Develop and adapt schemes of work, resources, and materials to meet learners' needs.
5. Monitor learner progress and maintain high standards of Quality Assurance, adhering to inspection standards.
6. Work collaboratively with team leaders to create engaging, stimulating lessons that encourage learner participation.

What We’re Looking For:

1. A PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
2. Experience teaching Maths and knowledge of SEND/LDD.
3. Strong communication and organisational skills.
4. A commitment to the rehabilitation and resettlement of offenders.
5. Ability to innovate and motivate learners.
6. Experience in instructing individuals with challenging behaviour.
7. Assessor or IV qualification.
8. Previous experience in a prison education environment.
