Following a period of transformation across the Council and within our own team, we are developing a new People and Strategic Change function, and we are looking for HR professionals to join us and help shape the way forward.
We’ve recently moved to a business partner model and have introduced a new role of HR Advisor to the team. We are looking for one HR Business Partner and one HR Advisor who can work with us to help shape this new way of working, challenge existing practices and help us to embed the business partner model across the Council.

As an HR Advisor, you will be working alongside the HR Business Partners to support employee relations case work. You will be the first point of contact for HR advice and will also be working with the wider HR Team to assist with project work in the areas of Learning and Development, Organisational Development and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
We’re looking for an individual who is part CIPD qualified and keen to further their career within HR. You will have the ability to manage reactive operational work requirements alongside longer term project work and you will have experience of advising on a range of HR related subjects.

Hours: This is a full-time role, for 37 hours per week.

Contract: Permanent
Salary: £31,586 – 35,235 per annum (City Pay Band 4), pro rata for part time. Pay award pending – will apply from April 2025.
Location: This is flexible – working in Cambridge at one of our offices and working remotely. You will be able to balance your work location accordingly.
