Creative Strategist, Paid Media

Fussy are on a mission to banish single-use plastic from your bathroom. We started with the UK’s Highest Rated Refillable Natural Deodorant and were recently named as one the UK’s Top 50 StartUps. Backed by some leading consumer investment funds, we are now looking to scale across channels, territories and products…it’s an exciting time to join our mission!

We’re now looking for a Creative Strategist to deliver compelling, high-performing assets for our paid media campaigns. Working closely with marketing, content, and design, you’ll craft performance creative that captures attention, tells our brand story, and drives conversions. You will cover the ideation process, production, and optimisation ads through data-driven testing.

Responsibilities
Creative Strategy & Ideation:
  1. Develop and own the creative strategy for paid media (Meta, Tiktok, Google, Amazon) using audience insights and wider market trends to ensure we remain effective.
  2. Optimising and briefing influencer creative to ensure it flows effectively through to paid media channels.
  3. Generate innovative ad ideas for visuals, copy, and video by staying updated on industry trends.
Production Management:
  1. Manage end-to-end creative production, including briefing teams, timelines, and deliverables.
  2. Work with agencies, freelancers, and other creatives to bring ideas to life as needed.
  3. Ensure brand consistency across all assets, aligned with brand guidelines.
Copywriting & Messaging:
  1. Write engaging ad copy that drives clicks, conversions, and brand loyalty.
  2. Test and refine messages for different audiences and channels for maximum impact.
  3. Collaborate with content teams to ensure cohesive voice across customer touchpoints.
Testing & Optimisation:
  1. Execute testing strategies to identify high-performing creatives.
  2. Analyse performance data, providing actionable insights for future ad iterations.
  3. Optimise creative assets based on performance and audience feedback.
Collaboration & Reporting:
  1. Report on creative performance and optimisation insights to stakeholders.
  2. Led feedback loop between performance and brand teams.
  3. Ensure performance creative aligns with brand.
Who you are
  1. 3+ years in a creative or strategic role, ideally in a DTC, FMCG, or start-up.
  2. Proven experience creating successful paid ads for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Google Ads.
  3. Strong copywriting skills and a portfolio showcasing high-performing ads.
  4. Experience with A/B testing and data-driven creative optimisation.
  5. Excellent project management and multitasking abilities.
  6. Understanding of consumer psychology, advertising trends, and audience resonance.
  7. Collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
  8. Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager) is a plus.
  9. Passion for sustainability and natural products.
  10. Be nice.

  1. Term: Permanent
  2. Start date: ASAP
  3. Salary: £35 - £45k depending on experience
  4. Days/Week: 5 days per week (2 days in the office) and flex time
  5. Probationary Period: 3 months
