Job description

The Assistant Manager will work with the Venue Manager to ensure the smooth running of the Town Hall.

15 hours a week to be worked flexibly. £14.50 per hour.

The postholder will need to be able to work flexibly, with weekend and evening working necessary. The emphasis of the work will vary according to need. No two days will be the same.

What you’ll be doing:

  1. Working alongside the Venue Manager to provide information to hirers about the Town Hall facilities, capacity, and conditions of let.
  2. Liaising with hirers using CRM (Customer Relationship Management software).
  3. Dealing with immediate needs of the hirers – for information, support, or advice.
  4. Ensuring the smooth running of events including opening up and closing the building and making sure that hirers operate in line with the terms of hire.
  5. Stewarding at events.
  6. Supporting volunteers who may also be stewarding at events.
  7. Liaising with builders and tradespeople where necessary.
