An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Transport Coordinator/Transport Team Leader to join our team. This role will be responsible for the coordination of the day-to-day logistics of the NWH fleet across several different vehicle sectors including Tippers, Skips, Roll on Roll off Hook and Trade Waste vehicles.

The ideal candidate would have experience within a similar role, knowledge of Transport Legislation, have the ability to manage a demanding situation, and be a positive team player. It is essential to be competent in using the Microsoft Office packages and to be confident navigating online platforms e.g. tracker and work allocation systems.

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday 7am-5pm, with rotational Saturday working, and will offer a competitive salary of £31,000 - £35,000 per annum dependant on experience, with the right person OTE over £40,000 per annum. Based on £35k + 15% bonus.

Job Activities:

• Communicate and allocate work with drivers as cost effectively and efficiently as possible
• Leading a team of drivers in a positive proactive manner
• Assist other transport coordinators in the logistics of their vehicles and drivers as required
• Enforcing Health, Safety and Compliance requirements with drivers
• Management of driving staff including recording of sickness, holidays, payroll, and continuously reviewing driver performance.

Transport Coordinator Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Logistics industry experience
• Tachograph and drivers’ hours regulations
• Good geographical knowledge
• Professionalism

• Ability to deal with challenging situations
