Job Description Summary
General Job Description:
- Maintain patient's safe passage in and out of the practice.
- Greet, assess and interview patients.
- Obtain past medical and surgical history, family history, social history, and vital signs.
- Review present medications, allergy history, and chief complaint.
- Prepare and assist patients for examination, treatment, or procedure by provider.
- Anticipate needs of patients and the provider.
- Monitor patients during examination or procedure.
- Maintain and update level of skill for pertinent paramedic duties.
- Maintain patient care areas.
- Stock and order supplies as needed, and maintain clean exam rooms.
- Charge and code supplies, medications, and procedures.
- Respond to patient's concerns in person or by telephone while simultaneously documenting the problem.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Administer medications and IVs per physician’s orders.
- Perform a variety of preliminary procedures, including phlebotomy, injections, throat cultures, and more.
Qualifications:
- Current Massachusetts Paramedic Licensure.
- Current ACLS/BLS licensure.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Team Player.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
