Base pay range

We have partnered up with a global, leading digital & technology Consultancy who are seeking a Technical Business Analyst to act as a critical link between business and technology teams. You will use your expertise in software architecture and backend frameworks to translate business objectives into well-defined technical features that meet both client goals and user needs. This role is fully remote with occasional travel to either London, Glasgow, Manchester, or Newcastle.

As a Technical Business Analyst, You Will:

1. Translate Business Needs into Technical Solutions: Transform business requirements and objectives into actionable technical features and user stories, ensuring they shape the product roadmap and drive technical delivery effectively.
2. Facilitate IT Delivery and DevOps Practices: Apply your knowledge of IT delivery frameworks and DevOps methodologies to enable smooth implementation of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring streamlined and efficient delivery.
3. Perform System and Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth system and data analysis to uncover inefficiencies, identify opportunities for improvement, and support informed decision-making.
4. Manage Product Roadmap and Backlog: Collaborate closely with product owners, developers, architects, and QA teams to prioritise the product roadmap, refine the backlog, and resolve blockers, ensuring seamless progression throughout the development lifecycle.

Your Profile

You will bring the following skills and experience:

• Technical Design and Development Expertise: Proven experience contributing to the technical design and development of technology-driven solutions.
• Technical Writing and Documentation: Proficiency in working with technical architecture and delivering high-quality technical documentation.
• Data Analysis and Visualisation Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, including experience with data analysis, data modelling, and data visualisation tools such as SQL, Excel, Tableau, and Power BI. Willingness to explore database schemas and perform data tasks such as cleaning, transformation, and aggregation.
• End-to-End Delivery Knowledge: Ability to facilitate delivery from research and solution design through to development, testing, and release, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Agile Backlog Management: Experience building, refining, and prioritising an Agile backlog to drive technical implementation and meet evolving requirements.
• Knowledge of Delivery Methodologies: Understanding of various delivery methodologies, such as Scrum, SAFe, and Waterfall, with the flexibility to adapt to different project environments.
• Community and Knowledge Sharing: Interest in contributing to the growth and development of the internal Business Analyst (BA) community by supporting peer learning and driving business development initiatives.
• Adaptability and Agility: Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and manage shifting priorities effectively.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

While not essential, the following would be a plus:

• Sector Experience: Exposure to diverse sectors, including Public Sector, Utilities, Financial Services, Consumer Products, and Retail.
• Team and Operational Support: Experience contributing to internal team operations, such as recruitment, client development, line management, training delivery, and mentoring.
• Relevant Certifications: Certifications in Business Analysis, Agile Delivery, User-Centred Design, or related disciplines.
