About the opportunity

As Business Analyst – Payroll Tax, you will provide payroll tax support for Dayforce’s HCM payroll tax products and services in Europe – specifically in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany and Mauritius. Dayforce is seeking a business analyst with experience in researching and implementing payroll tax rules/requirements and its application to technology to join our legal tax compliance team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to take the lead in addressing critical issues at the intersection of the law and HCM technology in an exciting, fast-paced company.

What you’ll get to do

  • Must be fluent in English; German language skills would be a big advantage.
  • Provide guidance to teams from product and technology on payroll tax issues related to payroll tax product features at all stages of the product lifecycle.
  • Track legislative and administrative changes to payroll tax and advise internal teams on required updates.
  • Identify and implement controls and safeguards to remediate risks and engage or manage remediation projects when gaps are identified.
  • Respond to a wide range of payroll tax inquiries regarding Dayforce’s products and services.
  • Remain up to date on relevant industry laws and regulations impacting product compliance in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.

Skills and experience we value

  • Payroll administrator, Accountant and/or Business Administrator is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Must be fluent in English; German language skills would be a big advantage.
  • 5+ years of experience in payroll experience or human capital management applications consulting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • HCM domain experience (WFM, HR, Payroll, Taxes, Benefits, and Talent) is a plus.
  • Experience documenting compliance and business requirements.
  • Ability to translate legal requirements into requirements for fast-paced product teams.
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills.
  • Creative problem-solver who can efficiently resolve complex issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to build effective relationships with business partners.
  • Ability to produce clear and concise written analysis to stakeholders.
  • Proactive, confident self-starter with the ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to complete projects on time with minimal supervision.
