Job Title: IT Finance Manager

Job Type: Contract

Rate: £550 to £650/day Ltd (Outside IR35)

Profile – IT Finance Manager

Our client is a leading figurehead in the UK food sector, with an unparalleled pedigree dating back to the early 18th century.

Job Role – IT Finance Manager

The IT Finance Manager shall be driving and leading the financial operations within the IT department. Responsibilities will include budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and strategic planning for projects and operational spend. This role is instrumental in ensuring the financial success of technology projects.

Duties – IT Finance Manager

  • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with project stakeholders to provide financial updates and support decision-making processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of audit documentation and respond to auditor inquiries related to IT project finances.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and control IT expenditures to ensure they align with the approved budget. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to optimize financial performance, focusing on capital expenditure (CapEx) and revenue expenditure (OpEx).
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including variance analysis, capital expenditure reports, and performance metrics. Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Provide detailed analysis on CapEx and OpEx to support decision-making.
  • Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies. Monitor CapEx and OpEx to manage financial risk effectively.

Experience/Qualifications – IT Finance Manager

  • Large amount of experience working in accounting, preferably with exposure to IT project accounting or project management.
  • Proficiency in SAP and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Candidates who are currently a Finance Business Partner, Project Accountant, Accountant, Finance Manager, Head of Finance, and Finance Director could be suitable for this position.
