An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced senior nurse to take on a clinical and professional leadership role at the Dowling Phototherapy Unit, part of the internationally renowned St. John’s Institute of Dermatology.
We are seeking a dynamic individual with proven experience in a senior clinical leadership role, who can demonstrate a track record of enhancing both patient and staff experience within a complex healthcare environment. If you are passionate about advancing Phototherapy services and leading the professional and clinical development of nursing teams, we invite you to join us.
The Dowling Phototherapy team delivers a range of treatments—including Narrowband UVB, PUVA, and UVA1—to adult and paediatric patients referred from general and specialist dermatology clinics. The service also supports the Patient-Initiated Follow-Up (PIFU) pathway, including nurse-led clinics focused on prescribing phototherapy and medicines management for conditions such as vitiligo and photobiology.
You will be expected to deliver compassionate, visible leadership and foster a culture of excellence. Your ability to drive service improvements while maintaining a strong focus on patient-centred care is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multi-professional boundaries are key.
