Job description

Job Title: Swedish Language Teacher to Adults

Start Date: 31st March 2025

International House London is currently seeking experienced and enthusiastic Swedish teachers to join our growing Foreign Languages team. The role primarily involves teaching adults on our evening face-to-face courses at our school in Covent Garden. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified and passionate individuals to contribute to our vibrant and multicultural learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Swedish in-person language lessons to adult learners.
  • Create engaging and effective lesson materials and activities.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere in the classroom.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of courses and maintain consistent teaching standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have the right to work in the UK and be currently based in the UK.
  • Swedish (C2 level)
  • Initial teaching qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant Swedish teaching experience to adults.
  • Clear Police Record and Enhanced DBS
  • Possess a CELTA, Trinity TESOL or DELTA
  • QTS
  • Hold a degree in Swedish Language and Literature or a degree in Modern Languages (English, Spanish, German, French, etc.).

Working Hours:

This is a part-time position. We are looking for a teacher to deliver in-person courses in the evenings (18:30 – 20:30).
