JH Contracts Ltd carry out remedial work for a number of major housebuilders, Property management groups, HA's, Carehomes and Councils.

Our customers expect their homes to be of the highest standard, therefore quality and professionalism are key.

We are seeking an experienced skilled multi-trade operative for full time employment in the Milton Keynes area. This is a customer facing role representing JH Contracts Ltd and our clients, you must be professional, customer focused, tidy and organized when working in customers’ homes.

Based in Milton Keynes or surrounding areas, the successful candidate will be required to work within an hour and a half from their home, further afield on occasion at the company's request.

Skills and Experience Required:

We are looking for a Tradesperson with proven experience in a similar role, and must also be qualified in one or more of the following core trades:

• Carpentry & Joinery
• Painting and decorating
• Plastering/Plaster patching
• Plumbing
• DBS check will be carried out

The role of Skilled Multi-Trade Operative will include:

Attending to occupied new build properties to carry out remedial work including but not limited to:

• 1st and 2nd fix joinery
• Identifying the root cause of creaking floors and rectifying the issue
• External door and frame
• Bathroom refits
• Plaster patching
• Painting and decorating
• Sealant works

Attending to disrepair works and void works for our HA and council contracts, as well as reactive and planned maintenance works to care homes in your region.

You will also be required to keep the van presentable, keep on top of van stock level and complete job sheets.

The successful candidate will need to have a portfolio of work to evidence the skills required, be able to work off your own initiative and be a good problem solver with a keen eye for detail.

• Starting salary of £30,000 which will increase after successfully passing the probation period
• New company van
• Enrolled onto relevant training courses such as L2 NVQ Building Maintenance, Multi Trade Repair and Refurbishment Operations
• Support to expand knowledge of trades
• Company uniform and PPE
• Monday - Friday

*Must have Full UK driving license and CSCS card *
