We are looking for a dedicated and adaptable Security Officer to protect our client’s staff, assets, and infrastructure by maintaining a strong security presence and adhering to health and safety protocols.

The successful candidate will be responsible for patrolling designated areas, controlling access to premises, monitoring security systems, and responding to incidents. You will need to be highly observant, physically fit, and able to work independently while maintaining a professional and approachable manner.

Job Title: Security Officer
Pay Rate: £13.50ph
Shift Pattern: Nights and Weekends
Location: London, located between Kings Cross and Camden.
Role Requirements: SIA Frontline Licence and/or CCTV Licence

Main Duties:

• Conduct regular patrols to deter and prevent security threats
• Control access to premises, verifying visitor documentation
• Monitor and respond to CCTV and alarm systems
• Assist and escort visitors when required
• Report health & safety concerns and security incidents in a timely manner
• Carry out routine searches of vehicles, buildings, and individuals in line with company policy
• Secure doors and gates as part of locking procedures
• Act as a point of contact for staff and visitors, providing information as needed
• Maintain visitor logs, incident reports, and key management records
• Identify and report suspicious activity to the relevant authorities

Must-Haves:

• Valid Frontline SIA Licence and/or CCTV Licence
• Previous experience in a security role (preferred but not essential)
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Professional appearance and demeanour
• Physically fit and able to conduct patrols as required
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• IT literacy to operate security systems and reporting tools
• Proactive attitude and problem-solving mindset
