Founding Security Lead- Cybersecurity Startup (EU/UK)

Summary of the Role:

As our Founding Security Lead you'll play a hybrid role contributing across security, product, research, and go to market. This is a unique opportunity to join as one of the first employees of a well-funded security startup building a product at the intersection of Generative AI and security. The focus of the role is on security research, whilst also looking after our internal security as we scale.

What you'll work on:

1. Research: Continuously analyze the output of our AI models, creating feedback loops that improve the product and customer experience.
2. Product: Work closely with founders, engineers, and AI researchers to define and build an innovative new security product.
3. Internal Security: Develop our internal security programme and prepare us for scale.
4. (Nice to Have) Develop the Brand: Write blogs, talk at events, and join the occasional customer call.

What You Need to Be Successful:

1. Security Expertise: 7+ years of experience in security, ideally at scaled companies (500+ employees).
2. Product Sense: You have strong opinions about security products and may have contributed to product development in the past.
3. Cloud and DevOps: Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS) and experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
4. Deep Technical Skills: E.g. you've worked as a Security Engineer, Red Teamer, and/or are a former Software Engineer.
5. Collaborative Spirit: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
6. Agility and Adaptability: Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment with the ability to pivot and adapt as needed.
