Job description

This role is fully remote, although you will be required to occasionally attend meetings in both the Ibcos Computers office (based in Poole, Dorset) and the Catalyst Computer Systems office (based in Loughborough).

Dealer UK includes Ibcos Computers Ltd and Catalyst Computer Systems Ltd. Both businesses provide Dealer Management Software, with Ibcos focusing on the industries of Agriculture, Construction and Garden Machinery and Catalyst focusing on the industries of Motorcycle, Caravan and Motorhome, Retail and Trade and Agriculture. We help Dealers manage all areas of the business operations from parts and service, through sales and finance, with innovative solutions to achieve their business objectives.

Job Overview

The Marketing Manager is a member of the UK Dealer Group senior management team and is responsible for developing and managing the execution of marketing programmes that increase brand awareness, build new business pipeline and help generate revenue from the existing customer base.

Key Responsibilities

Continually striving to learn and understand challenges unique to the markets we service through:

  1. Engagement in conversations with customers and industry partners.
  2. Attending key industry events and user conferences
  3. Conducting industry research and understanding competitive landscape
  4. Conducting closed deals and lost opportunities analysis

Build/maintain a strong thought leadership position for our brands by:

  1. Developing relationships with key industry publications and associations
  2. Producing thought leadership content
  3. Coordinating press releases, announcements and dealer stories
  4. Increasing engagement in all our social media channels

Continually improve Target Market coverage by:

  1. Working with sales teams to fine tune our Target Market definition
  2. Improving the quality and accuracy of the prospect and customer database both directly and through other customer facing departments
  3. Increasing brand awareness, marketing engagement and leads YoY

Help build New Business pipeline by:

  1. Delivering regular communications and staying top of mind with prospects
  2. Launching creative inbound and outbound marketing campaigns (events & tradeshows, webinars, ABM campaigns, drip programs, etc.)

Grow customer engagement and help build Back to Base pipeline by:

  1. Working with initiative managers and Product Owners to launch and promote all new add-on solutions
  2. Organizing user conferences, webinars, industry exhibitions and training events
  3. Increasing the use of customer portals through promotion and redesign
  4. Working with all teams to deliver regular customer communications
  5. Production of high-quality marketing copy

Monitor and optimize marketing performance by:

  1. Identifying programmes that deliver best ROI
Qualifications Required
  1. Proven record of working effectively as part of a senior leadership team in a commercial small/medium sized software business
  2. Previous experience in successful people management
  3. Ability to demonstrate a successful track record of effective business development and back-to-base marketing campaigns
  4. Experience of working with marketing industry tools such as CRM, web content management and marketing automation.
  5. Ability to effectively manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships
  6. Ability to prioritise and plan workload to deliver the best outcome for the businesses
  7. Excellent project management skills
  8. Confidence in engaging with customers and industry partners together with excellent presentation skills
  9. Demonstrable analytical approach to measuring campaign success and ability to report and act upon conclusions
  10. Advanced copywriting skill level
  11. Exceptional standard of written English language skill
