Job description

Our client is a fast-growing Challenger Bank that is looking to recruit an FP&A Manager. The role is home based 3 days per week and 2 days per week from their London office. This is an initial 3 month contract paying up to £600 per day, inside of IR35.

You will be responsible for providing financial planning, analysis, and strategic insights to support the bank’s growth objectives. You will work closely with senior leadership, ensuring robust financial forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis. What is expected of the FP&A Manager?

1. Lead the financial planning and analysis function, providing key insights to drive strategic decision-making.
2. Develop and manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
3. Perform financial modelling and scenario analysis to support business growth and risk management.
4. Collaborate with senior stakeholders to provide financial insights and recommendations.
5. Ensure regulatory compliance and reporting requirements are met in line with FCA guidelines.
6. Analyse financial and operational performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
7. Develop and enhance financial reporting tools and dashboards for real-time performance tracking.
8. Work closely with various teams including Risk, Treasury, and Commercial Finance to align financial strategy with business objectives.

What we look for in an FP&A Manager?

1. Proven experience as an FP&A Manager within a regulated financial services organisation (e.g., banking, fintech, insurance, or another FCA-regulated sector).
2. Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
3. Experience in working with senior leadership and providing strategic financial insights.
4. Strong understanding of regulatory reporting requirements and compliance in the UK financial sector.
5. Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools.
6. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
7. ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or CFA qualification preferred.
